Zazie Olivia Beetz (/zəˈsiː ˈbeɪts/ zə-SEE BAYTS; German: [zaˈsiː ˈbeːts]; born June 1, 1991) is a German-American actress. She is known for her role in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta (2016–2022), for which she received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She starred in the Netflix anthology series Easy (2016–2019) and has voiced Amber Bennett in the adult animated superhero series Invincible since 2021. In films, Beetz appeared in the disaster film Geostorm (2017) and portrayed the Marvel Comics character Domino in the superhero film Deadpool 2 (2018). She portrayed Arthur Fleck/Joker's neighbour, Sophie, in the psychological thriller Joker (2019) and its sequel Joker: Folie à Deux (2024). And disgustingly yet endearingly cheerful. Becoming awkward roommates quickly escalates when Mariel, terrified to confess the inadvertent summoning to her mother, blurts out that she’s dating Ozroth. As Ozroth and Mariel struggle with their opposing goals and maintaining a fake relationship, real attraction blooms between them. But Ozroth has a limited amount of time to strike the deal, and if Mariel gives up her soul, she’ll lose all her emotions—including love—which will only spell disaster for them both.
