The Prince of Dorne, Quentyn Martell, sees the Hightower invasion of Highgarden as an opportunity to finally regain the Dornish Marches from the Stormlands, and invades, citing that a bastard, even if he was legitimized, should not be a Lord of the Stormlands. He has recently been in contact with a young lord claiming to be Aegon Targaryen, stating that the Targaryen House plans to retake the throne from those that removed them. The Dornish Lord, hoping to continue the strong alliance of old between the two houses, if this young lord’s claims are true, accepts to take in the Targaryens under the nose of the Crown, and aid in their invasion.
