King Bran’s rule was marked as prosperous for its first half year, but his failure to find Drogon in Essos led to more than he’d hoped. He has since learned of something more troubling. Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar and Elia, has arisen in the Stepstones as a king. His main ally is an unlikely one, a long known enemy of the Targaryens and a house long assumed dead. Haerys Blackfyre is the last known male of House Blackfyre, a cadet house of the Targaryens that attempted to overthrow them on many circumstances. They have landed in Dorne under Lord Quentyn’s wishes and allowance. Bran assumes the Dornish and the Reach revolters will attempt to depose him and build the Targaryen dynasty anew.
