Springwood, Ohio. Like other residents, a girl has become accustomed to seeing her home as a peaceful place, something with a certain truth. But when a brutal murder with no apparent explanation occurs, and the same nighttime dream is shared by her and other young people, they soon realize that what happens in their distorted dreams comes true in reality in the form of a sadistic disfigured serial killer, part of a macabre history that the city still tries to forget.
