Robert Wheeler is one of the main protagonists in the musical drama film A Hollywood Story. He is the screenwriter for the film his friend Joseph is directing. He's a sexually active man who has had multiple sexual encounters with both girls and guys no matter the gender or race. Later in the film, he gets with black singer and aspiring actress Dianna Carroll. His character is inspired by 50s heartthrobs such as - Greogry Peck (Roman Holiday), Paul Newman (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), and William Holden (Sunset Boulevard).
