The 25th Hunger Games were the first Quarter Quell in the history of the Hunger Games. The twist was that the districts had to vote in their tributes instead of reaping them by a lottery. The districts send a variety of children. Ones that they think would win (the career districts 1 and 2), ones that they, for some reason, wanted to get rid of (homeless or thieving/law breaking), the children of strong influential figures (mayor’s children, victor’s children) and lastly probably random children that happened to get a few votes by sheer chance. The victor of the 25th Hunger Games is Cutter Riverhead from District 10. The 25th Hunger Games lasted 25 days. This was Coriolanus Snow’s first year as Head Gamemaker after a dying Dr. Volumnia Gaul stepped down. The President of Panem during the 25th Hunger Games was President Maximinius Ravinstill.
