Tobias "Tobey" Vincent MaguireΒ (born June 27, 1975) is a European-American actor and film producer. He began his career in supporting roles before gaining international recognition and critical acclaim for his portrayal ofΒ Spider-ManΒ in Sam Raimi's 2002 film. Maguire reprised the role in two sequels,Β Spider-Man 2Β (2004) andΒ Spider-Man 3 (2007). He played the role again inΒ Spider-Man: No Way HomeΒ (2021).
Maguire expanded his career with dramatic roles inΒ SeabiscuitΒ (2003),Β The Good GermanΒ (2006), andΒ The Great GatsbyΒ (2013). He received critical acclaim and aΒ Golden Globe AwardΒ nomination forΒ Best Actor in a Motion Picture DramaΒ for his role as aΒ PTSD-stricken soldier in the war filmΒ Brothers (2009).
Outside of acting, Maguire has also produced several films, includingΒ 25th HourΒ (2002) andΒ Seabiscuit. He later established his own production company, Material Pictures, in 2012, and co-producedΒ Good PeopleΒ (2012),Β Pawn Sacrifice (2014), andΒ BabylonΒ (2022).
