Of all the hedgehogs in the Sonicverse, Dawnverse Shadow is the one who blames himself for everything. If he were more compassionate, and not holding a grudge for Zero, Infinite wouldn’t be made. He even tells Sonic that it was because of him that Infinite came to be. Sonic felt betrayed and grew harsh on Shadow, blaming him for everything. Shadow felt like he deserved the blame. He felt like he failed. It would only take Shadow apologizing to Infinite to make things right in his troubled heart.
