Knuckles had spent years with the family he grew into, and found his real family back together. But what troubles him is the possibility of losing either or both of them, especially his counterparts. He is trying to make sure everything is in order, but still not sure about the Boom universe. It would take until the end to realize that the reason everyone calls him “Angry Knuckles” is because he yells all the time. Sonic even laughs at Knuckles realizing he’s been with them for 3 years and he finally realized.
