Set in modern-day Seattle, the story follows the Stratford sisters — the sharp-witted, fiercely independent Kat and her charming, image-obsessed younger sister Bianca — as they navigate high school life in an era of viral fame, social algorithms, and ever-evolving ideas of love and identity. When new student Patrick Verona transfers to Padua High, his reputation as a mysterious loner immediately clashes with Kat’s no-nonsense worldview. Meanwhile, hopeless romantic Cameron James tries (and fails, repeatedly) to win Bianca’s attention while surviving the chaos of adolescence. Over the course of ten emotionally charged episodes, the characters discover that growing up isn’t about rebellion or romance alone — it’s about learning to see yourself clearly, even when the world’s expectations cloud your reflection. Rendered with expressive, anime-inspired visuals by Studio MiR, the series blends heartfelt storytelling, humor, and music into a vivid portrait of Gen-Z teenage life. 10 Things I Hate About You: The Animated Series reintroduces the classic themes of sisterhood, vulnerability, and self-discovery for a new generation of viewers.
