Aleksei Serebryakov (born July 3, 1964) is a distinguished Russian stage and film actor, recognized as one of the most prolific and respected talents of his generation. A graduate of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and a former member of the renowned Tabakov Theatre, he gained early popularity in the late 1980s with the action film Fan (1989). He reached a pinnacle of international acclaim for his powerful lead performance as Kolya in Andrey Zvyagintsev's Oscar-nominated drama Leviathan (2014), a role that solidified his status as a "People's Artist of Russia." Known for portraying complex, often gritty characters, his career expanded into Western productions with significant roles in the BBC series McMafia (2018), the American action film Nobody (2021), and the Palme d'Or-winning Anora (2024)

Whilst allowing for a more nuanced thriller with more focus on procedure, this will portray the Fleming character of the original books, but ground him in a less gadget heavy world. Less fantastical elements than have been seen in the films.
