Simon FarnabyΒ (born 2 April 1973) is an English actor, comedian, children's entertainer, writer and singer. He is best known for his work with theΒ Them ThereΒ collective, where he has written and starred in productions including the sketch showΒ Horrible Histories,Β Yonderland, andΒ Ghosts, as well as writing for film.Β
Farnaby earnedΒ BAFTAΒ nominations for his co-writing ofΒ Paddington 2, both forΒ Best Adapted ScreenplayΒ andΒ Best British Film,Β and was the winner of the 2023Β Television BAFTAΒ forΒ memorable TV moment.Β In 2023, he co-wrote and appeared inΒ Wonka, a film which serves as a prequel to theΒ Roald DahlΒ novelΒ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, exploringΒ Willy Wonka's origins.
