Michael George "Mick" Giacchino Jr.Β is an American composer who works in television and film scoring. He received aΒ Primetime Emmy AwardΒ for his music for theΒ HBO-DC ComicsΒ dramaΒ The Penguin.
Giacchino is the son of music composerΒ Michael Giacchino and the nephew of documentary filmmakerΒ Anthony Giacchino.
Giacchino's credits includeΒ Disney+'sΒ Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the musical comedyΒ The Muppets Mayhem,Β andΒ AMC+'s western dramaΒ That Dirty Black Bag.
He began working in television scoring withΒ Jim Henson'sΒ Turkey HollowΒ in 2015,Β and has since contributed to animated and live-action productions, including Disney'sΒ Zootopia+,Β Netflix's featureΒ Extinct, and the Netflix seriesΒ The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell.Β He also worked on additional music forΒ The Batman.
Outside of screen work, Giacchino has released original instrumental music, debuting with his 2021 EPΒ Perseverance.
