Kieran Kyle Culkinย (born September 30, 1982) is an American actor known for portraying distasteful yet sympathetic characters across stage and screen. His accoladesย include anย Academy Award, aย BAFTA Award, aย Primetime Emmy Award, and twoย Golden Globe Awards.
Culkin began his career as aย child actorย inย off-Broadwayย theatre productions. He debuted his feature film alongside his older brother,ย Macaulay, in the Christmas comedyย Home Alone (1990). After achieving hisย breakthrough roleย as a sardonic teenager in the comedy-dramaย Igby Goes Downย (2002), which earned him his firstย Golden Globe Awardย nomination, Culkin took a break from the screen due to personal conflicts. He returned to film six years later by playingย Wallace Wellsย in the action comedyย Scott Pilgrim vs. the Worldย (2010).
