Elizabeth Chase OlsenΒ (born February 16, 1989) is an American actress. She gained worldwide recognition for her portrayal ofΒ Wanda Maximoff / The Scarlet WitchΒ in theΒ Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2014, with her performance in the miniseriesΒ WandaVisionΒ (2021) earning her nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award, aΒ Golden Globe Award, and a Criticsβ Choice Television Award.
Born inΒ Sherman Oaks, California, Olsen began acting at age four alongside her sistersΒ Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She had her debut film role in the thrillerΒ Martha Marcy May MarleneΒ in 2011, for which she received praise. Olsen received aΒ BAFTA Rising Star AwardΒ nomination and graduated fromΒ New York UniversityΒ two years later.
