Gregor Justin "Gore" VerbinskiΒ (born March 16, 1964) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directingΒ Mouse Hunt,Β The Ring, the first threeΒ Pirates of the CaribbeanΒ films, andΒ Β Rango. ForΒ Rango, Verbinski won both theΒ Academy AwardΒ andΒ BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.
