Christopher FairbankΒ (sometimes credited asΒ Chris Fairbank; born October 4, 1953)Β is anΒ EnglishΒ actor best known for his role as Moxey in the hit comedy-drama seriesΒ Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Fairbank was born in Hertfordshire, England. He has numerous television credits to his name, notably inΒ Sapphire and Steel,Β The Professionals,Β The Scarlet PimpernelΒ and provided minor voice talent for both the hitΒ Wallace and GromitΒ feature-length filmΒ Curse of the Were-RabbitΒ andΒ Flushed AwayΒ (both produced byΒ Aardman). Fairbank also appeared as one of the pair of muggers who rob an out-of-town family, heralding the first appearance of theΒ BatmanΒ inΒ Tim Burton'sΒ 1989 film. Fairbank also had roles as Mactilburgh the scientist in the filmΒ The Fifth Element,Β the prisoner Murphy inΒ Alien 3, and the Player Queen in theΒ Franco ZeffirelliΒ version ofΒ Hamlet, oppositeΒ Mel Gibson. Recently, he provided the voice of Old King Doran in the video gameΒ Demon's SoulsΒ and provides a number of voice accents in the PS2 video gameΒ Prisoner of War. Chris also appeared inΒ Goal!Β trilogy in the character of aΒ Newcastle UnitedΒ fan. In 2010, Chris appeared as a detective in the BBC Drama,Β Five Daughters, and asΒ Alfred "Freddie" LennonΒ in the biopicLennon NakedΒ withΒ Christopher Eccleston.Β In 2011 Fairbank starred inΒ Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tidesas a pirate called Ezekiel.
