Billy Rayย (born 1962) is an Americanย screenwriterย andย film director. He began writing for television and movies in 1994 withย Color of Night.ย He has written numerous films, including the firstย Hunger Gamesย film (2012),ย Richard Jewellย (2019), andย Captain Phillipsย (2013), earning anย Oscar nominationย for the latter.
