Allison Cara Tolman (born November 18, 1981) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Minnesotaย police officer Molly Solversonย in the first season of theย FXย black comedy crime seriesย Fargo. For her role, she won theย Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseriesย and received Best Actress nominations at theย Emmy Awardsย and for theย Golden Globes.
In 2015, she had a supporting role inย Michael Dougherty's comedy horror filmย Krampus. In 2017, Tolman starred inย ABC'sย Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Groupย web series, It was canceled after one season. She starred in the ABC drama seriesย Emergence (2019-2020), which was cancelled after one season.
In 2021, she starred as Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama seriesย Why Women Kill, and playedย Natalie Greenย inย The Facts of Lifeย portion of the third edition ofย Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
