Why does this website delete so many actor images except the AI ones, the ones of random comic book characters or the result of obviously unhinged behavior like this?

Oh my personal on-site bugbear. Now, from my experiences, there's two reasons as to why random fictional character images get uploaded to actor profiles:
1) It's a character the actor portrayed before and people use this as a way of showing what role they had in mind when fancasting the actor as that character
2) They fancasted the actor as that character, but since casting an actor overrides the role image in displays they work around this by uploading fictional character photos and using that as the actor image for their aesthetic or whatever.
It's deeply frustrating and annoying, and in some cases straight-up abused. I've mentioned earlier in the forums that there have been problems with people spam-voting on fictional character photos to overtake actual pictures of the actors themselves as the main display, or using it to be bigoted (I've seen people upload pictures of fictional monkeys to Black actors' image galleries because they fancast the guy as Diddy Kong or whatever, apparently not realizing the deeply racist implications of representing a Black person with a photo of a primate...)
For the record, staff has said time and time again that uploading fictional character photos (or anything that isn't the actor themself, really) is against site policy and have encouraged people to report any fictional character photos they see in image galleries. It's just that at the moment, they're kind of understaffed so they don't have enough mods to regularly clear out the report backlog, meaning reported images are taking a while to get cleaned out, and I believe their main focus at the moment is putting in safeguards against people uploading NSFW content on-site. If you see stuff like this, you're more than encouraged to report it.
i know bro, today i was casting Reilly in a voice role, and i was looking for an image of Eddie (his character in the Sing movie), but it was like 7 entire pages dedicated to Manny, it was so weird and so random at the same time when i saw it
I don't think we should throw the baby out with the bathwater. I think choosing the character the actor has played before or a photoshopped version of said actors make it engaging but I agree with we should have boundaries and not put something like Sonic the Hedgehog in some random actors profile just because someone insists on the fancast.
Oh no...
This is probably one of the worst examples of this problem to date
whenever this kinda thing pops up, i treat it as a personal responsibility to downvote all the spam or duplicate images, to make it easier for people using the site the proper way to find the images they're actually looking for.
Coming back to this because oh my god it's a nightmare. I just wanted to find a half-decent picture of Phil Lamarr that matched a character I fancasted him as and had to comb through like. Five to seven pages of nothing but fictional character photos to find a decent photo of the guy. Dear god can somebody clean out these photos already, this is getting ridiculous.
I looked it up and there's a whole bunch of em, my God...
Anyone care to report these? Because there's like, idk, more than 20 or 30 of those??
How is it: even possible to be that obsessed with the mammoth from ice age?

I think we have those obsessed with a cartoon character. But hopefully not like two people (they are not on the site BTW) I have heard about with Minerva Mink from Animaniacs while the other is with the one time The Flintstones character Ann-Margrock.
Forgot to add that there's even pics of mammoth statues from a museum and some arts of mammoths from other sources being put onto John C. Reilly's gallery.
